Meet Theresa Roberts, Finance Administrator at Aqua Home Care

First and foremost, those who know me say I do, see, and feel the world passionately through my heart. I am a mother to a beautiful daughter and a wonderful son.

I was born and raised on a small dairy farm in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. The eldest of 6 children – I have 5 younger brothers. I started my off-farm work career at 17 years of age by working in a bank called CIBC. Over the years I did everything from a teller, to investments, to loans and mortgages to being a branch manager before I left in 2000 to become self-employed. ln 2007 I became a store manager for a national retailer. January 1 ,2013, I quit my job and departed Canada to live full time in Costa Rica and find adventure there.

During my time in Costa Rica, I ran 2 different bed and breakfast businesses, and then lastly, ran the finance department in a property management company. Costa Rica is where I captured the featured photography. I met people from around the world and discovered my present husband. He is a US citizen and the reason I came to Florida in 2017.

In 2019 I started working for Aqua Home Care, my first endeavor in the health care field. My time here has been filled with challenges and learning adventures for sure! My children, their spouses, my siblings, mom, and long-time friends continue to reside in Canada. I have not seen them now for well over a year and miss them all tremendously.
Finding moments of grace, being grateful, and seeing the world through the eyes of a child are how I like to approach each day.

Being active is important to me – yoga, gym, walking, exploring. I love to laugh, travel, and seem to find adventure wherever I go.
My interests are many and varied – photography, the arts, philosophy, the sciences, glorious sunshine, and most of all nature – of any and all kinds! While open-minded to new or different ideas and points of view, I own my own mind. I am all about giving, receiving I do not do so well.

Honesty, integrity, and keeping my word are paramount to me. I try to be a good listener and I feel a person’s energy very powerfully. My mind is always full of questions, understandings, thoughts, ideas, and I love to discuss them with those who don’t mind hearing my chatter.

I do not know where my journey will take me, however I am confident it will work out just the way it’s supposed to and I look forward to enjoying the ride! I hope you enjoy my favorite photos from Costa Rica. I love reliving my time there, even if only by the beautiful prints in my office.
